Andrés Balaguer

Violin

Born in Benaguasil (Valencia) in 1976. He studied music at the Conservatory of Valencia and at the Royal Conservatory of Music in Madrid with Juan Llinares. In 1997 he won a scholarship to study in the United States with Vartan Manoogian at the University of Madison. He has participated in violin courses at the School of Music Reina Sofia with professor Zakhar Bron and in The Chamber music courses of Keszthely (Hungary) with Marta Gulyas. He has also taken classes with Rodney Friend, Rainer Sonne and José Luís García Asensio. Makes part of SMASH ensemble and collaborates with various musical groups like the Valencia Symphony Orchestra, Symphony Orchestra and Collegium Instrumentale of Castilla y Leon. Since 2005 he is professor of violin at the Conservatory of Music of Salamanca.
